Lucid

Lucid moves at a different pace.

A dark ambient piece built around a deep single-note bass tone, slowly shifting pads and subtle fragments of sound that appear almost at the edge of perception. Nothing arrives with much force, yet the track never feels completely still.

There is a strange tension in that.

The bass seems to anchor everything in place while the surrounding sounds slowly change — small noises, distant textures and ambient artefacts emerging and disappearing without announcing themselves.

It feels less like listening to a sequence of events and more like entering a space that is already moving.

The title Lucid adds to that feeling. There is something dreamlike about the track, but also something unusually clear. The darker textures never become overwhelming. Instead, they leave enough space for the listener to notice the smallest changes.

In the context of Momentum, Lucid explores a quieter kind of movement.

Not acceleration. Not impact.

A slow drift.

The kind of movement that is easy to miss until you realise that everything around you has gradually changed.

Lucid is on the album Momentum by Morpher — a collection exploring movement, energy, perception and the invisible forces that carry things forward.
