Traffic

Traffic

Traffic is an atmospheric electronic track by Morpher, with a trip-hop influenced sound inspired by the constant movement of cities, people and everyday life.

The visual journey moves through busy streets, crowds and urban environments, capturing the endless flow of people moving from one place to another. Cars, pedestrians, lights and buildings form constantly shifting patterns, creating a rhythm of movement that never seems to stop.

But this kind of movement isn’t unique to human life. Similar patterns can be found throughout nature — ants moving between their nests, birds travelling together, insects searching for food and countless living systems constantly in motion.

From the streets of a city to the smallest creatures in nature, everything seems to be moving, interacting and following invisible patterns. What may look like chaos up close can, from a distance, begin to resemble a much larger pattern.

Traffic explores the strange connection between the chaos of everyday life and the organised movement of the natural world — two seemingly different systems that can begin to look remarkably similar when viewed from above.

A meeting point between trip-hop, ambient, IDM and experimental electronic music, exploring movement, patterns and the hidden rhythms of everyday life.
